What's New

The latest updates and improvements to Flight Deck

June 28, 2026

  • Added Copy emails — grab everyone on a flight (or selected records) as a ready-to-paste address list for your email program.
  • Added Travel Groups — group veterans who want to fly together (brothers, friends, couples).
  • Added Crew — a new section for the people who travel with you but aren't veterans or guardians (medical staff, media, bus captains). Assign them to flights and roles, with a public application form.
  • Added Volunteers — a new section for ground volunteers who help with events, mailings, and fundraising. Tag their areas of interest to filter and report, with a public application form.
  • Changed Navigation — the top menu is now two rows, so your sections are easier to scan.
  • Changed Applications — manage each form's fields, content, notifications, and public link in one place, with a tab per application type.

June 27, 2026

  • Added Meal plans on flights — record each meal's location, contact, date & time, and notes when you create or edit a flight (in the Meal Plans section). They appear on a Meals tab on the flight page and print to a Meal Plans PDF. See the Bus & Hotel guide.
  • Added Profile photos — add a photo to any veteran or guardian record so your team can put a face to the name. See the Managing Veterans guide.

June 11, 2026

  • Added Support added for multiple hotels and multiple flight days on a single flight, for trips with overnight stops on the way to and from D.C. Add them under Flight Schedule and Hotels when you create or edit a flight.

June 7, 2026

  • Added Single search — there's now a search box in the top navigation bar that searches veterans and guardians together. Start typing and matches appear as you type; pick one to jump straight to their record. On smaller screens, click the magnifying glass icon instead. Archived records are included, so you can find someone even after their flight.

June 6, 2026

  • Added See who's working on each record — turn on Show who's working on each record under Settings to add a small column to your Veterans and Guardians lists. It shows who currently has a record open and who last edited it, so two people don't end up editing the same person at once. When you open a record someone else already has open, you'll see a heads-up at the top. Each person's label comes from the new Nickname field on their profile (it starts as their name — shorten it to initials if you like). Off by default.
  • Changed Lists now remember your filters — when you leave the Veterans, Guardians, or Flights list and come back, your search, filters, and sorting are restored automatically. Click Clear all filters any time to start fresh.
  • Added New setting on your profile: Also remember my place in the list — turn it on to return to the exact page you were on, instead of page 1 of your filtered results.

June 2, 2026

  • Added Email a veteran's or guardian's uploaded documents straight from Flight Deck — in the Application Documents table, check the files you want, open Bulk actions, and choose Email selected. Send them to the veteran, a linked guardian, or a member of your hub's staff; the files go out as attachments. See the Documents guide.
  • Added Delete uploaded documents from a record — the same Bulk actions menu on the Application Documents table lets Admins and Editors remove files (with a typed confirmation, since it can't be undone).
  • Added Automatically invite a proposed guardian to apply — when a veteran provides their guardian's email on the application, Flight Deck can email that person an invitation to fill out your guardian form, with the veteran's name pre-filled. Turn it on under Settings → Application Forms in the Notifications section (off by default).
  • Added Send a veteran or guardian a link to update their own application — great for records submitted a while ago that need fresh medications, a guardian request, or new contact info. Open a record and click Email; review or edit the email message, then send it — or copy a link to share yourself. They update their info without logging in; you get notified when they save. The link expires after 14 days, and staff-only fields stay locked. See the Managing Veterans guide.

May 26, 2026

  • Added Notes are now saved individually on veteran and guardian records — each note is stamped with its date and the name of who added it, instead of one shared text box. Look for the Notes tab when viewing or editing a record.

May 25, 2026

  • Added New Support area (replaces Feature Suggestions in the Tools menu) — ask a question, report a bug, request a feature, or get migration help, all from one place
  • Added Every request is now a conversation — we reply right inside your hub and by email, and you can reply back in the same thread. Track your open and closed requests under Support
  • Changed Feature Suggestions and the old contact form are now combined into Support; any suggestions you had already submitted carried over automatically

May 9, 2026

  • Added Import Flights from CSV — added Flights as a third option on the Import Data page with mappable columns for Name, Date, Airline, Hotel, and more
  • Added Link records during import — Veterans and Guardians can include a "Flight Name" column to be assigned to a flight, and Veterans can include a "Guardian Email" or "Guardian Name" column to pair with their guardian. Anything that can't be matched is imported anyway and listed in a downloadable report
  • Added Proposed Guardian section is now importable — Veteran CSVs can map columns for the person each veteran named on their application (Guardian First/Last Name, Relationship, Phone, Age, plus the yes/no toggle)
  • Changed CSV import preserves source timestamps — "Created Date" and "Last Updated Date" columns are now imported as-is instead of being replaced with today's date
  • Added Status behavior flags on the Statuses page — set any status to auto-archive records when applied (handy for "Mission Complete" or "Declined") and choose whether each status appears in the dashboard pipeline
  • Added Branch of Service options are now editable per hub on the Application Forms page — add, remove, reorder, or reset to defaults, just like War/Conflict options

May 3, 2026

  • Added Build your own reports — the Reports page now includes a Custom Reports section. Pick a subject (Veterans or Guardians), choose exactly which columns you want — including your hub's custom fields and related info like flight name or assigned guardians — then add filters and sorting. Preview the results on screen, download them as a CSV or PDF, or have every record emailed to you as its own PDF in a single ZIP. Reports you save are private to you unless you mark them Shared with hub, which makes them available to your whole team. Admins and Editors can build reports; everyone can run them. See the Reports guide.

April 17, 2026

  • Added Improved custom sorting for veterans and guardians — admins can set a tenant-wide default sort order from Settings → Default Sort, with multi-column priority, custom-field support, and respect for the order configured on the Statuses page

April 9, 2026

  • Added Customizable columns — choose which columns to display on veteran and guardian lists using the column picker, and reorder them with up/down arrows
  • Added Sortable column headers — click any column header to sort your list by that field (name, status, branch, war/conflict, application date, and more)
  • Added Column preferences are saved per hub so your whole team sees the same layout

April 6, 2026

  • Added CSV import now supports custom fields — any custom fields your hub has created will appear in the column mapping dropdown during import

April 3, 2026

  • Added Automatic email bounce detection — undeliverable veteran and guardian email addresses are flagged with a "Bounced" badge on records, a warning banner on detail pages, and a dashboard alert showing total count

March 31, 2026

  • Added Multi-Select custom field type — create checkbox groups where multiple options can be selected (e.g., war eras served, medical conditions)

March 23, 2026

  • Changed Redesigned Application Fields into collapsible sections for a faster, more streamlined workflow
  • Changed Custom fields can now be placed anywhere within a section — use the "Place After" dropdown to position them exactly where they belong on your forms
  • Added Guardians are now automatically added to a flight when paired with a veteran who is already on that flight — no need to assign them separately

March 18, 2026

  • Added Column mapping for imports — upload any CSV or Excel file and map your columns to Flight Deck fields, no reformatting needed
  • Added Save column mappings so future imports from the same spreadsheet format are automatic
